Last night, our CEO, Alfonso Garrido, was honoured with the Forbes Award for the most outstanding entrepreneurs of 2025 at the third edition of ‘Forbes Cómo lo hice’ (How I Did It), which recognises the achievements of medium and large Spanish companies that stand out for their social and sustainable commitment, their entrepreneurial spirit and their disruptive business model. The gala, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid, brought together leading figures from the business world to recognise inspiring success stories, a total of 35 entrepreneurs who stand out for their commitment to innovation, driving economic growth and strengthening organisational resilience that generates a positive impact on society.
Alfonso Garrido’s career exemplifies a commitment to excellence, hard work and constant evolution. From a very young age, he began working at the company during the summers. When he finished his studies in Business Administration and Management, he trained in multiple key areas of the business: logistics, finance, administration and sales. This cross-functional experience allowed him to acquire a global vision of the company, which he would consolidate years later when he took over as CEO in 2018.
Since taking on the top management position, Alfonso has promoted a strategy focused on international expansion, industrial innovation and the reinforcement of the values that have guided Symaga since its inception. Thanks to his leadership, the company has established itself as a global leader in grain storage, with a presence in more than 150 countries, more than 55 million m³ of storage built and a team of 150 professionals committed to offering reliable and highly durable solutions.
This award comes in a particularly significant year: Symaga’s 40th anniversary. A celebration dedicated to the figure of our founder, whose passion and values continue to guide the identity and projection of the company. The recognition of Alfonso is thus the perfect icing on the cake of this anniversary, honouring the legacy that his father began and which today continues to drive Symaga towards the future.
