On 5 June, we celebrated a very special day for everyone at Symaga: our 40th anniversary. This date not only marks four decades of growth, but also gave us the opportunity to pay a well-deserved tribute to Alfonso Garrido Muñoz, the company’s founder and the true architect of what we are today.
The day began with a visit to the factory, where customers, suppliers, collaborators and institutions toured the facilities to learn about our state-of-the-art production processes, an example of Symaga’s ongoing commitment to quality and technology.
After the visit, a tribute was held to commemorate these 40 years of history.
Journalist Mariló Lealwas in charge of hosting the event, which featured a keynote speech by Patricia Franco, Minister of Economy, Business and Employment, who highlighted Symaga’s contribution to business development in the region.
The most emotional moment came with the words of Ana, Marta and Alfonso Garrido Parejo, who remembered their father with deep admiration, thanked everyone for their presence and unveiled the commemorative bust in honour of Alfonso Garrido Muñoz.
The screening of the tribute video allowed all those present to learn even more about the admirable professional and personal career of our founder, a man of vision, effort, courage and dedication. As Ana said at the end of her speech: ‘And coming from the land of Don Quixote, what better example of a Quixotic figure than the ingenious nobleman Don Alfonso de La Mancha’.
After this heartfelt tribute, the entire community that makes SYMAGA possible came together to celebrate the company’s 40-year history.
The day ended at Quinta Monteguerra with a dinner, a flamenco show that dazzled customers from all over the world, and a drone show that put the finishing touch to this very special celebration, lighting up the sky and thanking everyone who has contributed to making Symaga possible.
We invite you to relive the best moments of this celebration in this video summary https://youtu.be/3umbjYi20QM and to get excited again together with the video tribute to our founder. https://youtu.be/pZUNI7QYdhI
